This is just a module in your device. It refers to Consume InfraRED while ENE is the manufacturer. This chip serves as a client for the user to use a remote controller to issue commands. The module installs itself as a driver without the possibility to control it. Once it's installed, you will usually find an icon on the System Tray from where you can customize it as in Start with Windows or About.

I have downloaded the driver but when I try to install it, it shows that installation has failed. I have done everything like restart, downloading it again but this doesn't work. Could you please kindly help me because my laptop can't recognize anything (mouse, pen drive, etc.)?

You receive errors because you're trying to install an unsupported driver version in the operating system currently running. The driver is available from HP for multiple operating systems. Visit the website and click on each link until you find one compatible with the operating system currently running on your computer.
